Chicago is a recognized leader in sustainability and a frequent destination for green meetings and events. Bright Beat and the Chicago Sustainability Task Force (CSTF), a consortium of leading institutions and businesses involved in tourism, recreation and hospitality, partnered with students at Kendall College to develop a directory of local suppliers who offer documented sustainable practices. The directory is made available free of charge to event planners seeking vendors who can support sustainable practices in the categories of hotels and venues, food and beverage, communications materials, transportation, and audiovisual and decor.
